Emseal is an expandable foam gasket that is optional but recommended in all handcrafted log homes. It is installed along the lateral groove and notches on each log. Emseal ensures an air tight seal between the logs. All logs are insulated with fiberglass insulation with the recommended emseal running down laterals and notches. Having your log cabin stained on our site prior to the reassembly process has proved to be very beneficial to many of our clients. The process of staining your home inside and out can be very time consuming. Most log cabins typically require 2-3 coats of stain. Having this process complete for you helps to speed up the finishing process. It also keep the logs in prime condition protecting them from the elements.
